Alan was a business owner in the structural steel industry, his professional legacy lives on in the steel of the countless buildings he built.

Alan was a man of many interests.
He was a Volunteer Firefighter in Franklin Park.
He enjoyed showing St. Bernard dogs, Curling, flying Glider Planes, wood carving, and creating pottery.
Alan collected Native American artifacts and Military Miniatures.
He volunteered at the Itasca Nature Center.
In addition, he served on the Board of Governors of Elmhurst Hospital, was a member of the Bensenville Community Library board and a Rotarian.

Most of all, Alan loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
