Alfred A. Fabbri Beloved husband of Violet nee Gray. Loving father of Terry (Michael) Chonez, and Bonnie (Fred) Huckstorf. Cherished grandfather of Holly (Justin) Rohrig, Fred, Jr. (Veronica) Huckstorf, Heather (John) Veugeler, and Scott Huckstorf, Remy (Jenny) Chonez, and Danielle Chonez. Proud great grandfather of Ethan Chonez and Haley and Joshua Rohrig, and Lauren and Michael Veugeler. Dear brother of Albert Fabbri, and Florence Schalkowski. Uncle of many. Alfred was a member of the Franklin Park American Legion Post #974 and a member of the Veteran Employee Association of the Soo Line Rail Road. Alfred retired after many years of service from the U.S. Postal Service in Franklikn Park and Schiller Park, and then from the Soo Line Rail Road. Alfred proudly served his country in World War II with the U.S. Army. He was an avid chef an a train enthusiast. Alfred will be missed deeply by his family and extended family as the wonderful support person for them. He was so very precious to everyone. Family and friends will gather at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home & Crematorium on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm to share and celebrate Alfred's life. We will all gather again on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 at the funeral home from 8:15 am until time of prayers 9:30 am before processing to St. Beatrice Church for mass at 10:00 am.
