Barbara Ann Nimmer, 78, of Port Charlotte, FL, Kenosha, WI and formerly of Franklin Park, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 7, 2016 at her home with her family by her side.
Born in Fond du Lac, WI on August 11, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lorraine (nee Olson) Steinbarth.
On July 21, 1956, she married Harold 'Jim' Nimmer in Fond du Lac; and have remaind true to each other for 60 years. They lived in Franklin Park from 1956 to 2004.
Barbara and her husband owned The Oaks, a campground, in Clinton, WI form 1987 to 1997. She enjoyed camping, traveling, boating, going on cruises and for the last twenty years, wintering in florida.
She is is survived by her husband, Jim Nimmer; two sons, Jeffrey (Anna) Nimmer, and Scott (Marlene) Nimmer; five grandchildren, Amanda (Marc) Savage, Cortney Nimmer, Jamie Nimmer, Krystle Nimmer, and Stephanie Nimmer; four great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Evelyn, Gabriella, and James; and three sisters, Bonnie Goodwin, Arlene Kolacki, and Elaine Schroeder.
Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Mark Nimmer, and her two brothers, Arthur Steinbarth and Bill Steinbarth.
Family and friends will gather at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home & Crematorium, 9568 Belmont Ave., Franklin Park, Il, on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 pm with a Celebration of Barbara's life.
