Bernard (Ben) Restivo, passed away March 30, 2021, at age 83.
Beloved father of Anthony, Nancy, Michael (Mindy), and Vincent (Nicole).
He was a wonderful grandfather to Madi, Allison and Emily, brother to Patsy (Fred), and also to Frank and Dolores (both deceased).
Uncle to many, and always-friend to former, surviving wife, Margaret (Sal).
He played jazz saxophone and accordion for many years, mainly on the basement steps after dinner. "Somewhere My Love" from Dr. Zhivago was a top tune on his play list. He was a champion ballroom dancer, often bringing home awards and trophies after competitions. Ben loved to walk, and get free things...the original Wedding Crasher; only caught after dancing a tango with his partner. Ben was a late-in-life world traveler. After an entire lifetime of being afraid to fly, he took a chance and boarded an airplane to Vegas. After that, it would be easier to list the countries he did not visit. Egypt, China, Germany, Italy (he loved Italy), Switzerland and Costa Rica are just some of the locales he visited. He didn't say it much, but he loved his children, grandkids, siblings, and the life he lived...with all its challenges. Ben will be missed...and for sure Ben will miss life.
