Catherine Cardona

Catherine J. Cardona passed away on Thursday March 5, 2020 at the age of 86.

Beloved wife of Richard.

Loving mother of Teresa (David) DeMuri, Michael (Amy Taylor), John, Christine Schwaan and Martin (Fern Smith).

Cherished grandmother of Keith, Tony, Maria, Adeline and Gilbert.

Dear sister of Frances Mazurek and Margaret (Richard) Josten. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Catherine was born in Milwaukee, WI to the parents of John and Caroline Baumgartner.  Cathy was proceeded in death by her parents, sister and brother in-law Caroline and Jerry Hollenstein, brother Reverend John Baumgartner and daughter in-law Kathleen.

Cathy and Rich built their family roots in Franklin Park, IL.  Cathy loved and cherished her time with family.  She enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, crocheting and flower gardening.  Returning to school later in life, Cathy graduated from Rosary College with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.  After graduating she worked for many years as a Tax Accountant.

Best Mom Ever!  Forever in our hearts.

Visitation Tuesday July 13, 2021 from 8:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home 9568 Belmont Ave. Franklin Park.

Services will be held at St. Gertrude Church Tuesday, July 13, 2021 Mass at 11:00 A.M.. Inurnment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
