Loving husband of Barbara.
Devoted father to Carl (Jenny), and Jeff (Duen).
Wonderful grandfather (Pop) to Ryder, Parker, and Johnny.
Loving brother of the late Ralph (Sally), the late Dave, and the late Ernie (Kathy).
Survived by his great & loving sister Louise Smith, sister-in-law Lynn (Dave), and brother-in-law Eddy.
Uncle to many caring & wonderful nephews and nieces.
Carl was 79 when he passed on February 19, 2022, just shy of turning 80 in March.
Married to Barb going on 52 years, they lived in Franklin Park for 50 years.
He was an advid golfer, enjoyed fishing, especially with his grandsons, and loved the Cubs, (the one and only) Ernie Banks, as well as the Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks (a true Chicago fan).
He always had the American Flag flying on a 30' flagpole in his front yard, along with the Cubbie and Bears flags.
He was very proud to have served in the Army.
Carl and Barb truly loved and enjoyed all the dogs and cats that they had during their married life together.
We all loved his kind soul and will dearly miss him.
