Chester Anthony Piwowarczyk, 93

May 18, 1931 – May 27, 2024

Chester Anthony Piwowarczyk, 93, beloved Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and Veteran, of Franklin Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully on May 27th, 2024.
Chester was born on May 18, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Joseph and Anna Piwowarczyk.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Jeannie (Eugenia) Piwowarczyk, to whom he was married for 69 wonderful years.

Chester proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War as a Private 1st Class.
He often regaled his family with tales of his service, sharing both the pride and humor of his experiences.

As a Chicago native, Chester worked as a Printer Press Operator during the golden age of the printing industry in the Midwest, retiring from Lancaster Press in 1996.
Known for his warmth, humor, and wit, Chester was a master storyteller.
His family and friends were often captivated by his lively concertina performances, joyful Polka parties, and memorable fishing trips to Wisconsin.

In his free time, Chester enjoyed gardening, painting, puzzles, and embarking on countless home improvement projects – often with results that were as creative as they were functional.
He had a deep passion for classic cars and was a lifelong, devoted fan of Chicago sports teams, sharing many a game and cheer with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Debbie Piwowarczyk, Donna (Carlos) Lopez, and Diane (Mike) Netiuk, his seven grandchildren, Brandon, Melissa, Ian, Matthew, Shawna, Laura and Austin, and his two great-grandchildren, Leo and Lena. Chester's playful spirit and enduring love have left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care and support during this time.

Chester will be deeply missed but will live on in the hearts and memories of those who knew and loved him.
He taught us all the value of resilience, dedication, and living life with a smile.
