Our dear Christine passed away peacefully on August 13th surrounded by family.
She was a proud mother and Nana and loved her family fiercely.
Christine was a devoted daughter of the late John and Anne Jenrich.
She is survived by her loving son Jason Walek (Carlyle) and her cherished granddaughters Garnet and Nelle.
She was very close to her five siblings and is survived by sister Karen Kovacs (Ernie) and brothers Jerry Jenrich (Kim), Jeff Jenrich, and Larry Jenrich; she was preceded in death by her brother Ron Jenrich, CFD (Mary Kaye).
She is also survived by dear friends Mark Walek, former husband and father of Jason Walek, and Teri Hey.
She was a beloved aunt, niece and cousin to many.
A huge Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan, you could find Christine in front of the television every Sunday cheering for the Bears and exclaiming “Football, there’s nothing like it!” She followed the Cubs closely and frequently spoke about the 2016 season and how she was one of the first in line on the Cubs World Series Parade route.
Christine was a music lover and favored Styx, Bon Jovi, Neil Diamond, REO Speedwagon and Garth Brooks, even in her final days. We know she is singing and dancing in heaven.
Family and close friends will gather at Maryhill Cemetery for a committal service at a future date.
