David F. Fritz, 72, Oconto Falls, died Friday evening, December 30, 2011 at home surrounded by his entire loving family. He was born April 25, 1939 in Chicago to Fred and Myrtle (Greinke) Fritz. He was raised in Chicago where he was a union carpenter for over 50 years and worked in many kinds of factories in his spare time.
On September 13, 1958 he married his high school sweetheart Nancy Nelson in Chicago. In 1999 he retired to Wisconsin to fulfill his dream of spending his golden years making lasting memories with his family. David enjoyed restoring Model-A Fords and belonged to many auto clubs as well as rebuilding and restoring antiques. He also liked drawing illustrations and teaching others about how things worked and how to fix them. David will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, awesome father and "Silly Papa" to his entire family.
Survivors are his wife and best friend of 53 years, Nancy Fritz, Oconto Falls; their four children, David (Stormy) Fritz, Oconto Falls; Marilyn "Lynn" (Michael) Jones, Underhill; Michael (Peggy) Fritz, Homewood, IL; Lisa (Michael Messer) Fisher, Grayslake, IL; Lisa's former husband, Albert Fisher Jr., MI; 11 grandchildren, Kelly (Mike Alsteen) Fritz, Bethany (Nicholas Behrens) Fritz, David A. Fritz, Sarah (Michael) Ciancio, Katherine "Katy" (Aaron) Blaser, Michael D. (Andrea) Jones, Krystl Fritz, Jordan Walsh, Albert (Allison) Fisher, Nicole (Benjamin) Hixson and Christopher Fisher; nine great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christina and Michael Ciancio, Aidan Patza and Lia Blaser, Isabella and Chase Alsteen, Trey Sawyer and Benjamin Hixson Jr.; two brothers, Robert Fritz, MI; Henry (Joan) Fritz, Streamwood, IL; one brother-in-law, Jerry (Linda) Nelson, NY; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jean Fritz and Diane Meyer.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a scholarship fund will be established.
