Diane Bluthardt

Diane Rose (Latoria) Bluthardt, 79, resident of Weeki Wachee, FL, passed away on November 11, 2021.
Diane was preceded in death by her husband Edward E. Bluthardt, Jr., and son, Daniel Edward Bluthardt, as well as her parents Rocco and Ethel (Kotlow) Latoria.
Diane is survived by her son, Brent (Christine Hall), 4 grandchildren: Rocco, Brittany, Lauren, and Amanda, daughter-in-law, Caroline Bluthardt, and her sisters, Donna (Tom) Itrich, and Lisa (Gary) Palmer along with her 7 nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Buddy.

Diane graduated from East Leyden High School – Class of 1960 and the University of Wisconsin – Madison – Class of 1964.
She was a dedicated public servant for many years holding the elected offices of Leyden Township Clerk and Schiller Park District 81 School Board Member.
She also served the public as the Director of the Vilas County Commission on Aging and Leyden Township Senior Citizen Coordinator.
Diane was a long-time resident of Schiller Park, IL and Eagle River, WI.
She was known for being a trusted colleague and passionate leader of the communities she belonged to.

Diane devoted her time to her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She loved music and is fondly remembered for always tapping her feet and singing along to any song on the radio.
She loved movies like The Sound of Music, Grease, and White Christmas that gave her an excuse to smile and sing.
Diane’s sense of witty humor, and obsessions with word searches and solitaire carried her throughout some of life’s challenges.
Edward and Diane’s home in Eagle River served as a space to host loved ones and created fond memories for their family that will last a lifetime.
Diane also had a way of providing the best advice.
No matter the situation, Diane provided guidance and a warm opinion that could turn any negative thought into a positive one.
When Diane told a cherished story, she made you feel like a kid again, distracting you from any troubles.
She loved sharing humorous stories from her childhood.
She was cherished by many, loved by all, and her spunky personality will be dearly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021, from 3:00pm until 6:00pm at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home and Crematorium, 9568 Belmont Avenue, Franklin Park, IL, 60131, with a Funeral Service to follow at 6:00pm.
