86, of Franklin Park, formerly of Freeland, PA, passed away Feb 6, 2012 at Loyola Gottlieb Memorial Hospital.
Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Rachilla nee Hazucha.
Loving father of Diane (Donald) Fick, and Sue Rachilla.
Cherished grandfather of Matthew (Stephanie) Helland, Jeffrey (Janice) Helland, Amy Helland,
Melissa (Ryan) Mallon, Shelley Lewton, Gregory Lewton, and Kurt Lewton.
Great Grandfather of Kali and Jessye Post, Leif, Noah, James, Jaden, and River Helland, Alyuia Hallock.
Son of the late Stanley and Josephine Rachilla.
Brother of the late Joseph (the late Mary), the late Helen (the late Donald) Van Dusen, Stanley (the late Theresa),
the late Benjamin (Alma), the late William (Joyce), Alphonse (Geraldine, and the late Anthony.
Loving uncle of numerous nieces and nephews.
Edward served proudly in the Navy during WWII as a Radioman Second Class. During leave, while at Chicago's Navy Pier,
he met Dorothy Hazucha whom he married in 1949. They settled in Franklin Park where they spent their entire married life.
Edward was the owner and president of Central States Plumbing Service in Chicago, Il. He was the plumber for the Village of River Grove. Edward was a member of the American Legion Post 974.
Visitation Thursday 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
Family and Friends will gather on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service 11:00A.M. at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home & Crematorium
