Francis "Frank" Pienta

Francis “Frank” John Pienta, 76, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at his home.

Frank was born March 15, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois to the late John and Lucille Pienta. 
He was the older of two children. 
Frank attended Holy Cross High School in River Grove.

Frank married Jannice Mork on August 2, 1969. 
He worked for the Pipe Fitters Local 597 for a majority of his life. 
On February 24, 1977, Frank and Jannice welcomed their daughter, Kristie, into this world.

Frank was an avid Bears fan with a fun spirited soul. 
He also took on multiple sport passions, golf and bowling. 
Frank was clever and full to the brim with history and sports knowledge. 
As a grandfather, he loved nothing more than watching his grandson’s hockey games and granddaughter’s gymnastics meets. 
Frank will be missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Kristie Pienta Evers; his grandchildren, Johnathan and Kate Evers; and cousins. 
Frank is preceded in death by his wife, Jannice Pienta; his parents, John and Lucille Pienta; and his brother, John Pienta.

A Celebration of Life Frank's life will be take place on Sunday, March 17, 2024, from 2:30 until 4:30 at Pazzi di Pizza, 105 S. York Street, Elmhurst, Illinois, 60126.
