Franklin W. Henk

Franklin Henk, 91, a 65 year resident of Franklin Park, Il, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024. His loving wife , Barbara Henk, of 68 years, predeceased him.

Together, they had four children; Vicki (Billy) Burke, Cyndi (Tim) Jungkuntz, Tim (Lynn) Henk, and Paul Henk. Eight grandchildren; Neal, Shawn, Kevin, Joanna, Greg, Jeff (Jessica), Christopher (Ashley) and Ashley (Nick). Six great grandchildren; Hayley, Nico, Aubrey, Elliana, Landen, and Cayden. Frank was very active with his children's and grandchildren's lives.

Frank and Barbara traveled extensively, visiting all but three states (Georgia, Florida, and Hawaii). The visited many of the states with their children and their motorhome. They also took their grandchildren on several of their adventures. The White Sox Spring training camps were popular; and they took annual treks to the Rock in Iowa.

Franklin was a 74 year, proud and loyal member of the Sheet Metal Worker Union, Local 73. He joined the union at the age of 16. Franklin worked out of state including Texas, Pennsylvania and North Carolina in the 70's.

Franklin was an avid bowler. He bowled in both Men's leagues and mixed leagues, with Barbara and some of his children. He was very proud of his 300 games at Grand Bowl in Franklin Park.

He will be missed by his family and friends.
