George Corter

George Paul Corter, after many years battling cancer, peacefully passed away on February 12, 2023, at the age of 80 surrounded by his immediate family. 

People know George as Dad, Grandpa, Papa, Brother, Uncle, Pops, Coach, Mr. Corter, Mr. C. or simply…..George. 
One nickname is typically enough; but when you have multiple you can see just how many lives, he got involved in. 
A simple man who lived larger than life. 
Although he had his own interests and hobbies, he loved nothing more than to be involved in any way he could in the adventures of his sons, Paul and Chris, his Daughter-in-Law Brenda and most recently his Granddaughter Samantha.

George met the love of his life in Patricia (DeLeo), loved his place in her family and never looked back. 
Together they spent 52 years setting the example, providing for their family, and supporting each other continuously.

George was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, friend and stand-up man to all. 

Please come celebrate his life and share memories on Monday, February 20, 2023, at Sax Tiedeman Funeral Home from 9am to 12:00pm with a Prayer Service at 11:30am.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association in George’s memory.
