He loved his dog, “Suzie,” fondly referring to her as “my doggie.” He was a very good bowler and when able, he bowled weekly in a league. He enjoyed his wife’s cooking, riding his bicycle, riding his horse with the Medinah Black Horse Troop, playing poker in Vegas, trail rides and sleeping out under the stars in Arizona, and investing in the stock market. He is a Past Master and member of the Old Glory Lodge #141, a member of the Medinah Shriners and of the Scottish Rite Valley of Chicago.
Harold was always a very calming presence within the family. He never wanted to cause anyone any problems. He would tell you that he has lived a good life. He would say that the best thing that ever happened to him was marrying his high school sweetheart. He is loved by many and will be missed greatly.
