Harold Guill

Harold Charles Guill, 83, passed away on August 13, 2013. He was the youngest of 8 children of Charlie and Ermie Guill. He leaves his wife of 64 years, his beloved Doris, to mourn his loss. Harold also leaves 3 children; Steven Charles, Patrick Dean (LeeAnn), and Jane Ellyn (Andy Lewis). There are 5 grandchildren: Leah Persky (John Richardson), Stephani Marie (Justen Edell), Eli Wolfe Persky, Danielle McManus, Erin Ann Guill. Also surviving are 4 precious great-granddaughters: twins Emily Grace Edell, Sarah Marie Edell, Avery Sofia Edell, and Nora Persky Richardson. Surviving sibling is Crystal Smith of Roscoe, Illinois. In addition, there are numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Harold had a deep sincere love for just about everyone. He had tolerance and kindness and made many friends throughout his life. His genuine well-meant concern, along with his sweet Midwestern garrulousness, disarmed all skeptics. Loving words came naturally to him and he shared them without stinting. His unwavering Christian faith and certainty of a glorious eternity in Heaven was the rock solid foundation of his earthly days. Visitation will be 3-8p.m. August 16, Friday, at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home, Belmont and 25th Ave. in Franklin Park. The Funeral will be at River Grove Bible Church 2550 Rhodes Avenue, River Grove, IL 60171, on August 17, Saturday. The church will be open at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Elm Lawn Cemetery, 401 East Lake Street, Frontage Road, Elmhurst, IL 60126. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to River Grove Bible Church at the address above.
