Jean Taylor Levine Jean Taylor Levine passed away in Chicago on January 20 at the age of 90. Survived by her children, Ceila (of Eugene, Oregon) and Garth (of Atlanta, Georgia); and preceded in death by husband Raphael, and brothers Robert, Donald (Dorothy), and James (Dorothy). Jean moved to Atlanta during the late 50s and became active in the civil rights movement including the 1965 march in Selma with Martin Luther King, Jr. A passionate volunteer, Jean brought tremendous energy to the Atlanta Gay Center, Aid Atlanta, Project Open Hand, Jerusalem House, Aids Survival Project, Call For Action and Theatre Gael. Jean returned home to Chicago in 2006 where she enjoyed the company of her many nieces and nephews. The family is especially grateful for the loving care Jean received at The Ark in Park Ridge; donations may be made to Rainbow Hospice.
