Jose Q. Hernandez

Jose Q. Hernandez, 65, of Franklin Park, Illinois passed away on February 21, 2023. Jose was born on November 25, 1957, to Aida and Jose Hernandez in Chicago, Illinois.

Jose was a dear brother of Ada Camero, Marilyn Negron, Abednego (Alfie) Hernandez, Damaris Gonzalez, and Juan Carlos (Johnny) Menendez.

In 1975, he met Rosemary Davila, and they wed in 1977, going on to have three children: Desiree Hernandez, Jose Q. Hernandez Jr. (daughter-in-law, Alejandra (Alex) Hernandez), and Giselle Hernandez Navarro (son-in-law, Miguel Navarro).

Jose was a cherished grandfather of Sebastian Navarro, Isaac Navarro, and Mia Hernandez, a fond uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a friend to many people in the community.

Jose was predeceased by his mother, father, and wife: Aida Hernandez, Jose Hernandez, and Rosemary Hernandez.

He is survived by Desiree Hernandez, Jose Q. Hernandez Jr., Giselle Hernandez Navarro, Sebastian Navarro, Isaac Navarro, and Mia Hernandez.

Jose served in the Air Force. He was an 18-year retired Lieutenant at Cook County and a community hairstylist for many years.
He enjoyed music, playing the guitar, dancing with his wife, and spending time with family.

Funeral services will be open to the family at 9 am and the general public at 10 am on Friday, February 24, 2023 (Sax-Tiedemann, 9568 Belmont Ave. Franklin Park, IL) with burial immediately afterward (Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1400 South Wolf Road, Hillside, IL).
