Kasimir Kozak Dec. 6, 2013 Janina Kozak Dec. 8, 2013 Kasimir Kozak, 94, born January 1, 1919 in Poland, died peacefully December 6, 2013. His wife, Janina Kozak, 86, born January 29, 1927 also in Poland, passed away December 8, 2013. They were happily married for 62 years. Both were longtime residents of Franklin Park, Illinois. Janina and Kasimir are survived by their daughters, Barbara (David) Stefan and Teresa (Sanford) Kolinek. They were loving grandparents to Chris and Lizzy Stefan, Becky (Zach) Straebel, Jared and Amanda Kolinek. Kasimir was the fond uncle of Bogusia (Nick)Porozynska. Kasimir served in the Polish and British Air Force from 1938 - 1948. He was a member of the Polish Air Force Veterans’ Association. He had been retired for the past 30 years after working as a draftsman for Bert Axelrod and Company. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid soccer and tennis fan. Janina had been retired for 25 years from her job as an electronic quality control supervisor. She loved her family, enjoyed gardening, and vacationing in Florida with her husband. Memorial Mass will be held at 10am on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Saint Gertrudes, Catholic Church, 9613 Schiller Blvd, Franklin Park. Interment will follow at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery, Niles, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) would be appreciated.
