Kathleen Cronin

Kathleen G. Cronin nee Grannan, passed away peacefully November 6, 2017 at home in Oakbrook, IL at the age of 91.
Born in Chicago, IL, she grew up in the South Shore neighborhood; and went on to attend St. Catharine College.
After raising her five children, she retired from Mercy Hospital, Chicago, IL after 30+ years. She was quick to make friends with many of her neighbors at Mayslake when she moved there in 2007. She enjoyed many days with them playing cards, afternoon bingo or the occasional casino trip.
Kathleen was truly blessed to have enjoyed a long and fulfilling life with family and friends always by her side.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, Walter and Mary (Meehan) Grannan; Daniel T. Cronin father of her children, son Mark T. Cronin, siblings - John, James (Verna), Bernard, Thomas, Joan Fitzsimons, and Henry (Shelia).
Kathleen is survived by her children, Kathy (Garry) Berley, John (Therese), Barry (Ruth Ann), Mary Jo (John) Gibson; 12 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, daughter-in-law Vipa Cronin; sister-in-law Sandra Grannan; brother-in-law Michael Fitzsimons; and fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Any friend of her children of grand-children was a friend of hers.
Family will greet guests on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 10:30 AM until the time of the Memorial Mass 12:00 PM Noon at the Chapel in Mayslake Village, 1801 35th Street, Oakbrook, IL, 60523.
Memorials may be made to Mayslake Village in her name.
