"The only easy day was yesterday" Lee Frederick Trenhaile, passed away December 29th, 2010 at the age of 66. Lee was the loving brother of Joan (late Edward) Maryniak, best friend of his sister Dori (late Lawrence) Albert, fond father of Ken (Pam), Lori Dean, Cari (Ron) Sustr, Michael, and Christopher (Linda), grandfather of 11, great grandfather of 2, uncle of Daniel and Lyle Maryniak, Teresa Gray and Larry Albert. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick W. and Dorothy R. (nee Guilford) Trenhaile and his brother Donald. In his youth, he was active in Cub Scouts, and Archery. He was an excellent archer, as a result, he won numerous awards and trophies in competitions throughout the state. After high school, Lee went on to proudly serve his nation as U.S. Navy Frogman, UDT-12, from 1963 to 1967 in Vietnam. UDT-12 was the most decorated Navy combat team at the time of his service. In addition to receiving a purple heart for an injury sustained during his service, Lee's unit was awarded the Navy's Commendation for Valor. In honor of his wishes, no service will be held. He will be cremated and his remains will be shipped to California for burial at sea by the U.S. Navy.
