Mardell 'Marz Cundiff' Leeper

Passed away suddenly at Northshore Hospital on September 3, 2021.

Mardell was born October 13, 1938 and raised in Franklin Park, Il. She graduated from East Leyden High School in 1956.

In January of 1960, Mardell married Robert Leeper and shared 60 wonderful years of marriage until Robert passed away in December of 2019.

A sparkle has left the Glitter Girls (High School Friends) and will be dearly missed at yearly reunions.

Mardell worked for United Airlines for over 30 years. She traveled all over the world. Her favorite destination was Maui, Hawaii with their magnificent sunsets.

Marz had a phenomenal artistic talent. She was at peace while attending art classes at the Kaleidoscope in Barrington. Her artwork is cherished by friends and family.

Mardell is survived by her brother Sherman Cundiff, nephews Eric and Adam Cundiff, cherished family and dear friends. A special thank to her caregiver Maria (her angel).

A Celebration of Mardell's life will take place at a later date.
