Marien Lee Rekus (pronounced Reekus). Passed at age 72.
Only child of Ben and Florence (grew up in Chicago). An older cousin Rose ( 12 years older) Lived with the family through most of Rose's teen years. She talked about how she'd have to take Marian with her on dates (which wasn't much fun for Rose).

Three grandchildren:
Brandon (the oldest that has lived with her for many years - she was his biggest advocate and loved him unconditionally. (This is her son John's child).
Abby (her only granddaughter) whom she loved showing how to do arts and crafts and took pride in the fact that Abby was artistic like she was.
Abby's twin brother Jack (named after Marian's husband John) that she loved to hear about his activities in sports and chess. (Jack and Abby are Marian's daughter Nicole's children)
Son-in-law Nick (Nicole's hisband) whom she deeply loved and relied on tremeneously after her husband passed. She loved to cook for Nick and to joke with him.
