Mary Chavers

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Chavers, 82, announces her passing on December 1, 2024.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Walon and M.A. Chavers, brother, Billy Chavers, and son-in-law Robert "Scoop" Ramirez.

Her legacy continues through her children: Michael Grelck, Robert (Lily) Grelck, Deborah (Joseph) Koenig, and Donna Ramirez. 
She also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Lauren (Maxwell) Finger, Lindsey (Cade) Koenig-Sterling, Katie (Keil) Zornow, Jacob Ramirez, Kristen (Jake) Reyes, Jessica (Joey) Lemke, Nicole Grelck, Jaclyn (Brandon) Patterson, and James (Larissa) Grelck and eleven great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Emersyn, Sidney, Finn, Lyla, Ellie, Lucas, Luna, Benjamin, Ryder, and Alicia. 
Siblings: Ann Ryan (the late John), Elaine (Leonard) DuBois, James (Kathy) Chavers, Johnny Mack (Donna) Chavers, Marvin (Shirley) Chavers and Glen (Diana) Chavers; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary had a passion for quilting and gardening. Her sense of humor and giving nature will always be remembered.

A memorial service will be held in her hometown of Kilbourne, LA.
