Michael Deany

Michael D. Deany, age 95, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie (Weller). Loving father of Timothy (Jay Tanzillo), Linda (Jim) Martin, Maureen (Joe) Insolia, Gregory (Rita), Pamela (Phil) DiMaso, Colleen (Chris) Lupo, Michael (Jennie), and Denise. Proud grandfather to Michael DiMaso (fiancee Elyse Towns), Cassia (Matt) Boswell, Courtney Insolia, Nicholas DiMaso, Crista Insolia, Danny DiMaso, Devlin Deany, Basila Deany, Rory Deany, Donovan Deany, Max Lupo, Jade Adley, Catalina Deany, Aliana Deany, and the late Jack Lupo. Fond great-grandfather to Molly and Mia Boswell. Dear brother of Mary Elliot and Clara Kinkade, and brother-in-law of Leo Weller and Rita Deany. Preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Gertrude (Koerner) Deany, along with siblings, Roy, Bill, Don, Mary Bernice, Vince, Veronica, and Josephine. Beloved uncle and loyal friend to many.

A World War II Veteran and retired member of Carpenters Union Local No. 839, Mike was proud of his Irish heritage and enjoyed all aspects of the sport of baseball. He played semi-pro baseball, was active in Franklin Park Little League, and was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs.

Visitation will be at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home, 9568 West Belmont Avenue, Franklin Park on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Family and friends will gather back at the funeral home on Thursday, April 12, from 8:45 am until time of prayers 9:30 am. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 am at St. Beatrice Catholic Church, 9701 West Irving Park Road, Schiller Park.
