Robert James Salyers

45, of Flint, MI, formerly of Franklin Park, Il, died suddenly Thursday, September 13, 2018.
He was born August 16, 1973 in Elgin, Il to parents Robert and Judith nee Kupstis Salyers.

Rob loved working with his hands building things, at the age of 12 he started out spending summers in the Lapeer Area working in construction with his cousins Robert and Donald Bertram. He spent most of his life working in construction; building pole barns, decks and mostly residential roofing.

Mr. Salyers is survived by his son: Robert James Salyers, Jr., his mother: Judy Salyers, dear friend: William Goode, sister: Shona (Scott) Hedke, nieces: Hannah; Jillian; Brooke, uncle Frank Kupstis and was the nephew of Ron and Marti nee Salyers Loeding.

Rob was preceeded in death by his father, Robert Lee Salyers and his grandparents, Frank and Julia Kupstis.

Family and friends will gather at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home, 9568 Belmont Ave., Franklin Park, on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 12:00 noon, until the time of service 1:30 pm.
