Stella Skobel

Stella Presz Skovel Born on July 3, 1908 in Chicago, IL to Jan and Katherine Matej Presz. She was Baptized on July 5, 1908 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church 1650 W. 17th Street, Chicago, IL. Stella is the 3rd of 10 children -- the last remaining child of Jan and Katherine. Stella and Frank Skovel met thru mutual friends and married on August 17, 1935 at St.Thecla Catholic Church in Chicago. Frank Skobel passed on August 11, 1977 after a series of health issues. The marriage was blessed with the birth of Daughter, Stella Francis Skovel on March 9, 1941. Stasia was married on April 9, 1961, to George Bernard White, who passed on July 2, 2010. Stella worked as a Nanny & Housekeeper after returning to the USA at the age of 19 from Poland. She lived with and Aunt & Uncle Glazowski in Norwood Park Illinois. Later she worked at various factories in the Schiller Park area. She lived in Schiller Park until 1988 when she moved and lived with Stasia and G White in Mount Prospect, IL. Mom enjoyed being with people and was sharp and aware of things all the time!! Mom endured some health problems and wanted to come home. Medivan brought Mom home on Sunday, January 12th and she passed at 9:50 AM on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 I love you, say hello to Daddy and the rest of the family...
